Jonathan,

The answer is YES. You need to be aware of two radio clubs:
LWCA (Long Wave Club of America) www.lwca.org
This organization is devoted exclusively to LW DX. However, its main  
thrust is NDBs (non-directional beacons). I am in the club but I am  
not on the list for reception reports. As noted, though, most  
activity relates to beacons. These are noteworthy because of their  
low power.

IRCA (International Radio Club of America) - www.ircaonline.org
Mainly MW Dxers but in the Pacific Northwest, there is a core of  
people who DX everything from 170-1700kHz. Reports are sent to the  
listserv. It is very active. A DXer in Oregon is hearing Morocco on  
LW; numerous others are heard by DXers from Victoria BC, Colorado and  
the coast of Oregon.

You don't say where you are, but chances are, based on what I noted  
above and if you don't have too electronically-noisy an environment -  
and if you have a decent antenna of some sort and receiver - you  
should be able to pick up something.
