Re: [IRCA] [LatinMWDX] New DXpedition report from Finland

Hello ! I hope you remember me ! When I officially started DXing in 2000, at age 13, you were the first DXer to which I extensively chatted !

Now, I become (among other things) the moderator of LatinMWDX...

Well, I`m happy to see you logged a bunch of new Argies on the extended part of the MW broadcast band. However, the repport theoritically found at http://www.dxing.info/dxpeditions/lem271rep.dx seems unavailable, as Internet Explorer can`t display that page.

Also, when you find some time, could you post station IDs, song intros, etc. from those X-band Argies on the files section of the LatinMWDX messageboard ? It would be awesome, if you could squeeze some time for contributing with some astonishing transoceanic Latin mediumwave DX audio material for our small Yahoo! messageboard (or Yahoo! Group as it is officially called) !

May the good DX drift a bit toward southern Finland, in the Helsinki area to reach your normal QTH as well as Lemmenjoki !

After a two-year break in AM DXing, I finally found the time to spend
slightly over a week in the Arctic Northern part of Finland on a
DXpedition. This was DXpedition number 271 in Lemmenjoki, the most
popular DXpedition location in Lapland. Some of the highlights include
picking up a bunch of X-band stations from Australia and Argentina.
Conditions were not as good as two years earlier, but this was the first
time that I was able to use the magnificent Perseus receiver, so the
sheer volume of recordings is such that there will still be some neat
catches to be discovered, once I get to go through the recordings. You
can find the report with photos at
  http://www.dxing.info/dxpeditions/lem271rep.dx but compiling the initial
log will probably take a couple of months more.
