Re: [IRCA] [mwdx] Time Pips on 153
Hi Bill,
I have been monitoring the LWBC Far East Russian "Radio Rossii" stations
lately. The past several weeks they are being heard here beginning around 05
utc. Their TOH time pips consist of 5 short pips on the five seconds
preceding TOH with a longer pip on TOH, and all the same pitch. (153, 171,
180, 189, 234, 279 with 180 and 234 going off at 1400 utc after the time
pips)

Now I suspect a lingering Trans-Atlantic station. I have France on 162
still coming in with a fair signal. Nothing on 171 however.

I just had time pips on 153. It sounded like 2 or 3 low and on long high
one at 0700 11/29. Unfortunately, I did not have my recorder going. I
don't know if this is a lingering TA or a Russian. BBC 693 was still
going strong about 15 minutes earlier. Is this too early for the Far East
Russian station?
