[IRCA] TP for 20 Nov from Victoria, BC

Didn't think things were quite as spectacular this morning as yesterday, with a similar number of signals but generally a little poorer in strength. Started listening at 1430UT, and figured things were pretty much finished by 1530. But rechecks since then have revealed some that just won't quit. There's still a number of weak carriers at 1730UT, and a couple of stronger ones that are unfortunately undermodulated, 972 and 1566, but have winkled out near imaginary audio on both as late as 1732UT. (HLAZ's pattern change at 1730 didn't seem to make much difference). The Hokkaido stations quit some time ago; last audio on 1287 was at 1616UT, and of course, the NHK2 stations signed off at 1540UT again.

pretty darn good audio (at least briefly):
639 CNR1 //5030; this wasn't really strong, but there's very little splatter on this channel at sunrise now
774 JOUB
828 JOBB

reasonable audios at several times during the period (though often battling w/splash or noise):

153 R. Rossii //279 which was weaker
594 JOAK
747 JOIB
873 JOGB
972 HLCA usual huge carrier, weakish audio
1017 likely CRI China w/mx not //NHK2
1287 not as good as this usually, noted at 1508UT
1566 HLAZ (like 972)
1575 likely Thailand

not so reasonable audio, occasional words in splash or noise:

567 JOIK //594
954 JJ talk at 1530
1134 mostly a mess, but when it did settle out, it was KK //972
1242 at 1510, apparently JJ
1314 at 1511, likely JJ
1323 at 1459UT, faded by hour; if CRI, 963 parallel wasn't available
1332 JJ talk at 1502
1503 JOUK //594 at 1449UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise:

558
576
657 instrumental mx under hum, likely N. Korea
918 mx, Shandong is often reported, but not by me
999 CC inflected talk at 1517UT, not //CNR1 on 5030 which had mx at this time
1098 big carrier seemed mostly Asiatic, traces of talk...Taiwan?
1188 likely Japan at 1527UT
1377 CNR1 //5030 at 1523UT
1386 NHK2 //774 at 1517UT
1404 mx traces, possibly Japan, but potential // on 1287 wasn't available

Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter): 1251 and 1422

best wishes,

Nick
