Hi Kevin,
Yes it's the Palstar MW550P. Most of the time using just the preamp and the
NW ewe, TP's are not heard well. Switching on the tuner and turning that big
dial really pulls in the stations. Your right it narrows the frequency and cuts a
lot of the splatter out. On communications receivers it only helps a little, but works
wonders on the Ultralight.
