George, interesting that 1206 here is just a weak het. Plenty more much stronger hets all over the band. Weak audio on 855. I'm watching 1215 on my Perseus.....looks like 4 transmitters there (at least). I measure:
1215.001, 1215.002, 1215.003 (the strongest), and 1215.006 the weakest of the bunch. I checked the calibration on WWVB, so it should be pretty accurate. Had weak audio a couple of minutes ago on 855. Also been noticing
531....I get 2 peaks: one near 531.0 and the other 531.033....not sure whether this is a locally generated spur or what. SQM 529, by the way is coming in quite well, so it might be a good Alaskan night......Walt.
PS: While I'm at it, I might as well tell you about 1610....no wonder it's so difficult to hear much. On Perseus, I'm seeing no less than 40 carriers between 1609.90 and 1610.10. Fairly strong WA DOT TIS there now
IDing as "This is Radio Station W2?BB5-69" or such". Anyone in the area hearing them?
