Greetings all,

A fair morning here on the coast with a nice signal from CBS Taiwan on
603 khz at about 1305 UTC with mentions of "CBS" and "Taiwan" in
Mandarian .  No Filipinos noted not even DZEC 1062. 

189   RUSSIA   Good with "Stangers in the Night" by FS at 1315 9/24
279    RUSSIA, // to 189.  Did not noted any of the others.
531    AUSTRALIA, Innifail 4KZ good with Talkback program with helpfull
idea 1320 o/presumed 2PM with soft pops. 
Also noted JOQG off and off with JJ talk.
540    AUSTRLIA, Longreach Qld, fair above domestics with ABC talk by
womn //630 which was better at 1317.
549    AUSTRALIA/RUSSIA mixing in KOAC/KMVI splatter at 1321.
558     JAPAN, Kobe JOCR very good noted from about 1300 until after
1400 with JJ pops and talk.
567     JAPAN, Sapporo JOIK fair at 1325 with JJ talk.
576     RUSSIA, nice signal in RR with man playing pop tunes at 1326.
585     JAPAN noted weaking at 1328.
594     JAPAN, Tokyo JOAK very good at S9+15DB at 1330. Fair on Sony 5SW
barefoot.
603     TAIWAN, CBS fairly decent on top of JJ at 1305 with many
mentions on Taiwan, also a man mentioned "CBS" in EE. Mardarin CC. Not
heard this well in a long time. Not neededed unfortunately, as it would
have made a nice report. 
612     AUSTRALIA, Brisband 4QR very good at 1345 with man talking.

621     RUSSIA, weak signal in 620 splatter at 1319.
630     AUSTRALIA, Townsville 4QN very nicely topping domestics with ABC
at 1332 at S9+10 DB.
t639     TAIWAN/CHINA  mix of two CC stations here at 1328 with JJ
bringing up the rear. I have heard both mainland & Taiwan here in the
past. No IDs heard though.
648     RUSSIA, Very good with VOA FS in KK at 1323.
657     JAPAN, noted here at 1314.
666     JAPAN, Osaka JOBK good with man in JJ at 1324
675     VIETNAM, fair signal with woman in VV at 1333, some CC QRM,
presume Hohhot.
684     JAPAN, bits of JJ talk in splatter at 1320.
693     JAPAN, Tokyo JOAB good with man in JJ at 1259.

As I went up the dial, the signals got weaker. This was a low band day
here. The 1500-1600 area had HLAZ, VOA, etc, but not too much more.
