Those are the red or pink molded caps. Bad when made like the black ones. There also were green ones. It was an attempt to make better caps than paper ones and it was an instant failure. I have a S-38C with those red caps. It works for a second and then quits. Now the filter cap is bad so I have a project. I have, though a S-38B with all original paper caps AND the original filter ....it says Hallicrafters on it. It works as it should, but when I order capacitors for the C, I will order them for the B. The B model looks identical but has more capacitors in it. I call those radios electrocution specials.  For a 5 tube AC / DC set, they are remarkably sensitive, selective...... ah, NO.
