Hey all,

I'm on digest mode and just catching up (I'm sure that this has been
discussed to death - in the interim).  Yes stations do "stay on late"
with HSFB.  I'd REALLY like to know if the FCC truly looks the other way
or is enforcing the issue.  I'm guessing the FCC doesn't pay too much
attention to these "transgressions."   In fact, I read last year that a
1 Kw day / 50 watt night (IIRC) station had a letter on file from a 50
Kw clear, on the same frequency, that said they did not mind them being
on day power for a few hours on Friday night for high school sports (not
that the clear had authority).  I'm betting the FCC looks the other way
as the stations are providing a service to the community.

Like KAZ, I also tried for HSFB on Friday night.  Nothing new during the
games but there were LOTS of games.   940 Ft. Atkinson, WI is in every
week during football season.  I did catch 970 Harlan KY as a new one
with Southern Gospel music, they MAY have been w/HSFB, I dunno but they
dominated the channel, all night.

970 WFSR KY Harlan 9-5 2158 G w/Southern Gospel mx.  ID as "A little
slice of Heaven, WFSR."  Must have been the stn. w/HSFB that I caught
earlier w/105.1 FM mentions. NEW! DH-IN.

Kevin,
Someone made the observation last year that high school football will
bring
out the cheat in normally well-behaved, low-powered statons.  I've
noticed
the phenomen around my neck of the woods.
