I'm on Digest mode, Neil, so this may have already been answered - but
WAIK is now an ESPN affliliate.  That must be who you heard.  

I have caught them nearly every night now.  I heard Galesburg vs. Dunlap
HSFB on Friday and the clencher, an ID at 0500 EDT on Sunday "ESPN radio
on 1590 WAIK."

Hey KAZ - WAIK is News / Talk / Sports, not ESPN, AFAIK.  

About your ESPN: I checked Barry's site and Platteville, WI (WPLV) is
ESPN and // to WGLR-1280.  I doubt that I heard WPLV, as they sounded
stronger than 1 Kw (and they were not listed as a Bears affiliate, WAIK
was, however).

I noted a strong ESPN on 1590 the last few nights. Does WAIK run ESPN
nights 
? If they had the Bears on last night, I suspect that when I passed by
1590 
and heard ESPN, perhaps the Bears game was over or perhaps WAIK was
running 
the ESPN promo during a break.

Anyhow.,..WAIK has run day rig at night in the past and rather often
over
