[IRCA] Grundig G6 1st look
Just took this new radio out of the box - inserted a couple
of batteries - and into it.
Staggering sensitivity -- to a fault.
I am looking at a 10kw MW at about 4 km away - and
their pattern directs about 250kw in my direction.
It swamps the G6 all across the dial with even 1/2
the antenna extended - at the same time, the Eton E100
appears about bullet-proof.
Likes: A friendly jog dial with fast-slow-lock tuning.
-Quick band changing.
-Quick control of sensitivity with
the whip antenna - but not medium wave.
-Rubber like feel to the radio.
Dislikes - nothing yet apart from the sensitivity.
Will take it up Island on the weekend and get away from
the "bigs".
