Great reception that brings back memories. I heard and verified WLBN from Omaha October 1954 (about ten years before you arrived, Bert). I'd heard them from Des Moines about a year earlier; as I remember; I sent a reception report but received a nice non-verie letter back from (probably) the CE indicating that I didn't have sufficient facts and giving some recommendations on what he (which proved to be most true for other stations) needed to confirm reception. I incorporated his suggestions in future reports, including the 1954 one to WLBN that resulted in a nice verie. Different world then; station personnel actually had the time and interest to give good advice!! - John S.
