Correct. When AM stations move, they have to follow what's called the "ratchet" rule, which requires that they demonstrate a 10% reduction in the total amount of interference they cause to other stations on the dial. So most of KRKO's new power goes out to sea, while the signal toward other co- and adjacent-channel stations will be unchanged or even a little lower.
