The Eton E100 is one of the most physically complex ultralight radios
and, apparently, Eton has a policy against publishing Service
Manuals. The first time that I went into the back of the E100, I
didn't get very far.... and panicked. I tip-toed back outta the
radio and, luckily, was able to return it to stock condition. There
are two major moves taking the radio apart that are not intuitive.
I did some Internet research, found some photos that gave me some
hints and plunged in again. The radio is actually fairly easy to
take apart and reassemble, IF YOU KNOW HOW. I've just published a
three-page illustrated guide to disassembling the E100 on the second
page of files in the Ultralight Files Area of dxer.ca. If you own one
of these very nice little portables, you might want to add this
document to your E100 file, wheher you ever intend to get into the
