A friend of mine was driving through the area today around 4:30pm and was
only about 2 or 3 miles from the WBAF 1090 transmitter site on Forsyth
Street/Route 41... but didn't hear a darn thing.
The station has a wikipedia entry and radio-locator entry which don't
indicate they are off the air.. nor do theyappear on the FCC's silent list
and no Special Temporary Authority has beenfiled for them to remain silent.
Does anyone know their history,story or why they might be silent?
