This one really can get out. Heard at Burnt River either last season or the season previous. In WTAM's null and if I recall correctly just prior to CO sunset time. Folks with the ULRs should be specially able to null.

It was widely reported on the IRCA list that KNZZ Grand Junction, CO
1100 was on their day rig, last night. Since I get both the IRCA and
WTFDA lists as digests, I "discovered" this one on my own. I was laying
in bed at midnight and tuned down through the clears, starting with
WPHT. Nothing new or unusual and I wound up listening to the tail end
of network news on WTAM and noted a FAINT signal underneath that I could
not get any better by nulling Cleveland down. My interest was peaked
because Curtis Sadowski in IL had reported a Colorado station killing
WTAM last week as well as a report from DX'er Steve Chappell via DX Mid
America. I don't know Steve but he only lives a few miles from me.

I tuned down and then back up noting that WTAM was no longer there. The
other station was now easily copyable and I heard a weathercast for the
high country followed by an ad and "News radio 1100 KNZZ." Just about
ten seconds later WTAM's programming resumed. Not sure if WTAM's rig
went completely off or if I was hearing KNZZ through WTAM's open
carrier. Regardless I was very lucky as WTAM is very, very hard to
overcome here, especially not having a BOG or other directional antenna.

unID: Earlier in the evening I had three stations on 1510, each taking
turns as dominant. WLAC (easily nullable), ESPN which must be Milwaukee
and a somewhat weaker station playing 70's pop / oldies. 2030 EDT they
played Rocky Mountain High by John Denver. Millbank, SD? I thought
that I heard an ad for a car dealer named Bouche or Foshee (Boo-SHAY or
Foo-SHAY) but that may have been from one of the other stations.

1100 KNZZ CO Grand Junction 3-24 0005 (3-23 2305 CDT) G w/local weather
and ads and "Newsradio 1100 KNZZ" ID. New! CO #2 and #3 for 1100. DH-IN

1510 unID 3-23 2030 70's pop mixing w/WLAC and ESPN (WI?). 70's pop
oldies No ID at BOH They had been playing some disco instrumental
(can't recall the name), John Denver's Rocky Mountain High. Thought
that I heard an ad for Bouchee motors. Thanks for nay help. DH-IN
