Bob,

Thanks Bob for remembering Curtis Springer. Brings  back
fond memories of 60's radio and the characters that were on the radio.
I used to listen for the entertainment value to the Curtis
Springer program on XEMO 860.  His mailing address
P.O.Box 1 Baker, CA.  There is a Zzxyz exit on I-15 near
Baker, CA.  Guests would could and soak in the healing waters
of the mineral springs.  I remember Curtis Springer during his
radio program saying " I'm bringing the girls in to sing" and then 
hear the needle scratching against the record.  He lived to be 88
years old, and died in Las Vegas after the federal government
evicted him for the federal land he was squatting on. Below is a link about
