Gil,
Please keep us posted on the IF filter issue for the T615 because I
think that fix may "fix" my local issue with my cassette walkman units
(WM-FX421 and WM-FS493) since I get local WNTS 1590 from 1580 to 1650.
I can null it down a bit, above 1610 but it toasts many channels. You
had mentioned my avoiding the SRF-M37V if I had strong locals. Would
the T615 filter mod work for my cassette units? I really like them and
the 493 model has a backlight.
Thanks,
Dave in Indy

Bob,
You are preaching to the choir about the T615. It is a fine little RX.
I've used mine barefoot in the Sprint and it is a station magnet. It
could
stand a better IF filter and a backlight wouldn't hurt although neither
would have made that much difference this weekend. Daytime locals are
worse
because of the wide IF filter. Guy is planning a cure for that problem.
I'll bet being familiar with the dial was as big a help as anything for
you
this weekend. You've sure logged the time with it.
