[IRCA] This evening's DX

1310     WBFD  PA        Bedford 3/3 1630 w/ID, oldies in WSLW null, fair
sigs & noted again about 1650.

 

1560     WYZO  NC        Dobson 3/3/08, 1701 w/local origination gospel
show, tentative ID but mention of Dobson mixing w/WSBV (my first clear
reception of them, by the way), good signals o/u WSBV in WQEW null.

 

1590     KVGB   KS        Great Bend 3/3/08 1900 very badly wanted here, had
TOH ID, "1590, KVGB" just a second ahead of an almost identical, "1590,
WAKR" ID.  Good signal & nice, clear ID, but no music noted.  This channel
is a real war zone here and almost anything could pop up.

 

1600     WTSZ   KY        Eminence 3/3/08, 1705 noted possible ID just ahead
of TOH, then definite calls @ this time, but not much else.  This tiny stn.
Is not that far from here (Lexington, KY area) but I didn't think I'd ever
hear it.  Conditions have been interesting lately; a lot of stuff E-W.

 

1600     WHJB   PA        Bedford 3/3/08, positive ID 1710, several
tentative IDs earlier & Adult Standards mx in WZZW null, sometimes with very
good signals.  I guess it figures they'd be here since WBFD was logged
earlier.  Usually what WZZW doesn';t bury gets killed by WXMV or WMQM or
WAOS, but WXMV being off seems to help.

 

All in all, a decent LSS.
