[IRCA] More new DX
A few new ones, a couple oldies as well.
660 AL Fairhope noted 3/3, 0630 w/"And the music continues on
WGOK." ID/slogan. Evidently // the 900 based on what I could find on the
internet. What calls is this one currently using. Found something about
them using WQCW??? This 1 heard fairly often here, but first time with this
call & format.
980 FL WRNE Gulf Breeze in w/ID 3/2/08, 2230 in heavy QRM,
heard only their call sign & some R&B. New. Tnx Willis.
980 IL WITY Danville well atop WONE w/"WITY, your home for
America's favorite music,": ID by YL; had been playing a light jazz
instrumental, went into Lovin' Spoonful's "Daydream," then played Sergio
Mendez version of "Fool on a Hill." New.
1300 NY WXRL Lancaster good & readable 3/3/08, 0750 w/something
about W. New York, then "on WXRL, 1300." When I lived in Barre Center this
one always seemed overmodulated. No trace of that sound this AM. New.
1330 WKTA IL Evanston 3/3/08, 0759 w/some kind of contest
promo way o/everything, mtn. of Chicago in ID, presumably the one still here
0810 blasting in w/Russian pgm. Second SE. Ohio logging, first time in
Albany.
Also noted this AM; WBRM-1250 @0731 w/local birthday contest, WMKT-1270
w/local talk, much about very bad weather, WLBR-1270 0745-49 w/long regional
sports report & ID, mostly on top in WMKT null, WHVR-1280, and WSSP-1250
w/ID & sports.
