Re: [IRCA] OT: #5000 Received

I can certainly tell you that a lot of ultralight radio logs reported here
are going into my hit list as needed stations. This "craze" has netted me a
good 20 new stations in downtown Toronto in the past few months, and I don't
do nearly as much much DX here compared to Burnt River.

Any radio that can null WGN and net me Jamaica 720 this far inland is highly
worthwhile. I heard it once each at Burnt River and Toronto within a couple
of days, and it had been many years since I'd heard it with such a good
signal!

I'd report more often, but I am almost completely blocked to the west here,
downtown. I swear I can't do better than the Chicago and St. Louis clears on
ANY radio. This changes dramatically if I leave my general location. I blame
the downtown skyscrapers to my immediate west. I do OK to the south, Cuba
890 is often stronger than WLS. But the south is nowhere near as sensitive
as it is at Burnt River. Still, I keep at it.

Saul
