[IRCA] SRF-59 Question

I hope you don't consider this a stupid question.  If it is I apologize.

Is there a way to kind of "loosen" the dialing wheel on the radio so that it turns easier?  I have serious neuropathy problems with my fingers and a looser wheel would make life much easier for me.

I thank you for any advice you can give me.
