Bruce, I used to have a lot of .rm files but I converted them all to mp3
using a program called Joyce Audio Convertor. It works great, you just
have to be careful about getting the wav bits and the sample rates to
match, otherwise you get artifacts.
Now, all of my files are in the mp3 format.
