Bill, if you can find Cassiopia....it's a sideways W right now in the north eastern sky, look below this about 10 or 15 degrees.  You'll see a fuzzy ball....easy to see through binoculars.  No tail or anything, though.
Looked very similar to a comet about 12 or 14 years ago....can't remember which one, but I remember showing the family it while in Maui....they were less than impressed and resumed their normal activities!
