I had an HP 1250VA UPS and it was great.  It died in a 13-hour power failure.  I bought a APC.  The RF noise it made was so obnoxious that I had to choose between UPS and radio.  It wasn't just a little noisy...it was a loud sweep generator-type noise across the whole AM band.  If you get one, you need to make sure you have a 100% return policy.
