Interestingly, from this location, this one seemed to me to have had
puny modulation for at least the last two seasons. If anything,
I've heard more audio this season because its overall strength has
been better, but mileages appear to vary....it wasn't there today
when I tuned by, however.

This morning seemed to be an improvement on yesterday, though not
really too much time to check things out, a brief period before
1400UT, and another before 1430:

Asian unless noted.

Darn good audio, if briefly: 774

Reasonable audio (though often battling w/splash) 639 CC //5030, 648
briefly, likely Russia, 747, 828 (this had a hum on it at 1430UT
interfering with JOBB)

Not so reasonable audio, occasional words in splash or noise: 558,
567, 594, all Japanese; 621 Russian by the sound of it; by 1400, just
2 sets of pips, no IDs, 666 JJ, 945 Chinese.

Burbles in the splatter: 612 DU with a SAH, 711, 837, 864, 918, 936

strong carrier, no audio:    603, 702 (someone about 25Hz high here;
N. Korea?), 846, 855 hum, 1098, 1242, 1287, 1475

splatter seemed worse than usual this morning, but a number of less
usual channels were showing signs of life also. For the first time
in a number of days, the northerly Flag was showing better signals on
some of them as well.

best wishes,

Nick
