Normally, and there are times when things get very abnormal, a post to
the IRCA list takes about 4 minutes. Posts to the NRC list generally
average 2-3. Posts via Yahoo Groups is where I see huge variations.
Sometimes they'll show up in 2 minutes sometimes 2 hours, sometimes 6-8
hours. Some other lists vary a lot also.

I've found with those other lists that gmail is normally more
consistent, although gmail has other quirks.
