I think once more people get a handle on just what that noise is they're
hearing, the complaints will increase a fair amount.

Cool! I really want to get it working again and try it out with the SDR-14.
We had a severe thunderstorm tonight, and I hooked the SDR-14 up to the
indoor ferrite loop to see if a client was on the air. That combination
works *very* well! By increasing the SDR gain to maximum, I was able to
hear things that were completely inaudible on the Palstar/ferrite combo.
And that's with lightning crashes outside! One powerful shot hit so close
the light and the noise were simultaneous. I could even hear the static
discharging afterwards. Yet the power didn't even blip. Weird. And, no
smoke in the attic. A *very* good thing! None of my clients went off the
air either. Another very good thing!
