Pat, 

Your right Pat about the many carriers.  While taking the loop down for the night, I noticed that I failed to raise the mast the final section.  Result, lost 6 feet in height on the directional leg.  So the loop was 19'x52'x25', I think that this reduced the signals strength.  This is probably why the ewe NW was weak too.
