Re: [IRCA] Patrick's DX Heaven

Gary,

There are lots of options if I want to stay on U.S. soil from NW Maine,
Alaska (Where I lived for 12.5 years). The North Slope would be darn
cold but wide open for TAs TPs, you name it and no HD. The reason I
mentioned Kauai as I have been there. A beautiful Island and not
crowded. The Garden Island, and I can understand why they call it that.
Guam would not be likely, weather (too hot and humid, much worse than
Kauai), and too many radio stations on a little island. But the Oregon
coast does have great TP/DU DX. Not doubt about it. It always has.
However with the advent of HD Radio, depending on how widespread it gets
and how I can deal with phasing and antennas. So far the WNW EWE does
the best job in getting rid of most of the QRM. So time will tell.
Thanks for your kind words.

Patrick
