	I was in the Twin Cities for a convention in 1970.  We stayed
downtown in the Curtis Hotel, though the convention was actually being held
across the street in the Lemington.  I believe both were razed to make room
for the HHH Metrodome.

	As I recall, the Twin Cities had 2 AM top 40 stations at the time.
Thee #1 station in the market was KDWB-630.  KRSI-950, also played top 40
but with more oldies mixed in.  KSTP was full service, and a number of FM
stations had already switched to some kind of rock.

 From what I remember, KSTP's top 40 days came later, starting in the 
early 70's.

I think KSTP was a full service station in the late 60s, sort of like 
WCCO but not nearly as popular.

A Minnesota member can probably give a better answer.
