Re: [IRCA] Tillamook forest TIS

Dennis,

Sounds like the one I have heard in the past, a few years back. I wasn't
sure where the tx site was, but I knew it was in the Tillamook Forest
area per the info.
I don't remember (without checking) if I have that one QSL'd, but I
think I might. I do have several.

By the way the 1610 Forest station at Elsie is silent. Now the carrier
is even off. But the old one for Hammond Boat Basin may have returned as
I am getting Cape Disappointment WA and a second one during the day
here. Hammond was silent for sometime. Why two on 1610 so close, I don't
know. The Hammond one gets out so poorly anyway. I will have to drive
out and check it out.

There also is a network of HAR stations going down the OR coast on 1650.
The two in Clatsop County, Astoria & Seaside, then Tillamook, Lincoln
City, Newport, Reedsport, Coos Bay, etc. All are on 1650 and generally
run NOAA radio when there is no emergency.

Patrick
