 If FM  stations in N.A. used even numbers in their
Megs(i.e 104.2) along with the odds there would be
many more freqs available for stations to operate on
like in Europe where there are 200 available FM
channels and some stations are below 88.0 by a couple
such as 87.6 and up to 108.0.For low power FMs the
spacing is down to three apart in one location.Euro FM
receivers are more selective on average and can handle
signals from one scource without signal scatter and
Mix.On the other hand only a few high power FMs are in
one location and the majority of signals are not in
the 100KW range.---Bill in BC
