Charles A Taylor mentioned picking up two carriers on 700 during the daytime
somewhere in, I believe, eastern NC. In addition to WLW, seems like the
other one must be WDMV (ex-WGOP) somewhere north of Washington DC still
running 5 kW-D DA-D if I'm not mistaken with a fairly narrow pattern aimed
due south. I believe that WDMV holds a CP for 50 kW-D DA-D (if not a CP,
then certainly an application). I have heard much speculation, however, from
a friend in the DC area that that upgrade will never be built. But if it is
built, the signal ought to be quite readable in eastern NC. Remember, much
of the path (I think about half) is down the salt water of Chesapeake Bay.
