[IRCA] AM stereo, DAB in SW Canada

** CANADA. 04/30/07 - Several Vancouver and Victoria AM stations have pulled
the plug on stereo broadcasting. In Vancouver, CISL 650, CKST 1040 and CFUN
1410 dropped stereo some time ago, while CHMJ 730 and CKWX 1130 removed it when
new transmitters were installed. CKBD 600 and the new CJRJ 1200 transmit in
stereo, while CJVB 1470 is "synthesized". CKNW 980 and CHMB 1320 light the
stereo pilot, but are monaural. In Victoria, CKMO 900 dropped stereo several
years ago and CFAX 1070 stopped when a new transmitter was installed last fall.
Meanwhile, all Vancouver DAB stations have unofficially called it quits, except
