Charlie, if you look at the maps associated with the FCC AM Query web
site, they show the WSME transmitter as being just slightly outside of
the base at the NE corner of Camp Lejeune.

As far as proximity to the COL, one of the stations that I work for is
rated in the top 20 of the Denver-Boulder market. The studios are 53
miles from the COL. The transmitter is on a mountain 63 miles from the
studio. Telephone calls between the studio and the transmitter are toll
calls. They are in different area codes.
