Well I recorded some of the "what ever it is", hi, and I'm just as clueless 
as before. It seems to be faster at times than I previously thought.  The 
clip I have is 33.5 secs., 67 kb, mp3 format, 16 bit.  The part I 
transferred over from tape begins and ends with CW mode .5 bandwidth. The 
middle consists of AM mode at 6.0bw. for reference.  It actually sounds 
better in the AM mode but is weaker.   I don't think it's an NDB now.  Maybe 
more like data. (an area I know little about.) Freq. was 1220 on the button.
