    For those interested in the radio format happenings of the San 
Francisco Bay Area, this story covers not simply the activities of AM 
and FM radio, but semi-interviews of and comments by the DJs that are 
making things happen. In this article, Gene Nelson tells why he's back 
and where he has been; "The San Francisco Sound," on KTRB, continues, 
but on an abbreviated scale; and a few other interesting items. And, no, 
I'm not connected with any of the above or below, aside from growing up 
listening to KTRB in my home town of Modesto, California.
