Back in the 60s, a bunch of daytimers out East could sign on with full power
at 0400, if they received no complaints. I don't know the totality of the
rationale or regulations pertaining to this.
One I remember vividly was WYAL-1280 Scotland Neck (NC) signing on
at 0400 with "Dixie." Tremendous signal.
AS fate would have it, they are a semi-local for me, now.
