Paul:
I can tell you of numerous times in the past I've heard stations
operating well past their s/off or power down times and it was always a
mistake. The engineer at WATH in Athens once told me they run six different
power levels, 1 kw, 500w, 250w, 120w, & 26w being five of them. I live 12
miles from their tower. I often hear them blasting in at night when they
should be battling hard to overcome Pittsburg, Louisville, Florence,
Waynesboro & Ashtabula, then powered way down in the morning when they
should be running their PSSA of 500 watts. Doesn't seem to take much to
screw up their computer's remote operations, power spike or drop, change to
or from DST, sometimes just a windy or stormy day. Being in the floodplain
of the Hocking they cover well in the daytime, but don't seem to get out at
night at all, even on LSR or LSS, tho' if you hear them you'll know because
theyu ID about seven times between every oldie.

Why must stations always be cheating or doing something ill-legal? Maybe
they're Sine or Burke Remote Control got stuck and it was an equipment
malfunciton
