Yes, I have thought of that many times before "If I knew then what I
know now" sort of thing. The frequencies were so clear in the 60s/70s
that a 1500' beverage would "sing". Also daytime reception in those
days. In looking back at the QSLs from that era, I think "What would I
have heard with a better antenna?" I have had a taste of that in the 90s
before the X Band filled up, hearing 10 watt TIS stations from the East
Coast. Ah, the good ol' days....
