Dennis/Pat,
I do not hear KVIP regularly daytime in S.F. A lot has to do with blatant buzz problem but also the Carmel Valley station has upped power in the last few years and can be heard weakly. However, KVIP is often heard at SRS/SSS.

Just checked the 1969 edition of WRTH and power was listed as 1 kw D1. I sent them a reception report on a later date and got back a coverage map. The map was made by Hammett & Edison consulting engineers of San Francisco in 1958. The 0.5 mv/m signal gets down to Woodland. KVIP .01 mv/m signal makes it just North of Santa Rosa. Power or the frequency was not listed on the coverage map, just K-VIP radio, Redding, California. They were owned by Shasta Broadcasting Corporation. This was the coverage map that they showed their advertisers.
