That makes sense.  Since you, or someone else using your ISP's nameserver,
had done a lookup on topazdesigns.com prior to the IP address change, the old 
info was cached.  But nobody had done a lookup on www.topazdesigns.com, so 
when you tried that, it wasn't in the nameserver's cache, so it was forced to 
do a query, and it came up with the new IP address.  So, you end up with two 
addresses for the same site, one old, one new.  I never thought of it before, 
but it does seem to be a useful technique to bookmark both versions of the 
address - use the main one normally, and try the alias if the main one fails.

And now, back to your regularly scheduled DX program...
