Few people know that the deep violet robe the Pope wears gives him two
powers.  First, it shields him from extreme cold.  Second, he can levitate.
It's known colloquially as the "Flying Purple Papal Heater".

It also is the source of power for the transmitter on 1611 at the Vatican.
