Re: [IRCA] Freddy "Boom Boom" Cannon

Bob
I ran a Roadmonster seadan for 10 yrs. Only car I liked
better was
'72 Olds Toronado great front wheel smoke shows.
Has decent Delco AM RADIO for DX & RF quiet.
Remove ash tray assy to mount radios.
Almost identical to Impala SS. ET 15 sec. @ 94mph. out of the box
same as SS. Edelbrock sells complete exaust for SS fits sedan,
wagon may be longer. Look into it only $400 when I did it.
Nice sound, you can see musical notes floating out the tail pipes.
Other mods most easy.
Remove baffle AKA home plate. cover hole with hockey puck.
K&M filter kit abt $200, or ram-air if you wish.
Knock sensor from camaro. Bypass intake heater, only makes a difference
in VERY cold WX.OEM Delco plugs & wires best.
Also get the DUAL electric fan get-up & tranny cooler if it dont have.
Weak points Water pump. NEVER run with leaky pump, will ruin distributor.
Lower ball joints. EGR valve. clean or remove or buy cover plate, I think
it needs
reprograming if you do.Other stranges probs. Car dead intermitant. Pass
key worn learn how it works. Bypass with proper resister if you wish.
Low heat. there is a restricter in water line that clogs.
Very int minor water leak. T-Pipe running between heads in REAR.
Int accys, RADIO & headlite probls corroded nut on relay.
Always run in OD for racing. On some of them putting it anywhere
else skips LOW gear otherwise you cant drive on wet roads
without going sideways..............
Know a lot more if needed
