Re: [IRCA] [NRC-AM] WTSB, ca.1956? MORE

Yep, they're 15 minutes more or less-a short program open by announcer
Joe Slattery, then three segments of Red, his band members and/or guests
performing, with the final outcue at the end of the third program
segment. Each with a locked groove at the end, of course. Guests on
these particular shows (no.73 and 74) are Bill Ring, longtime local
singer/radio & TV personality who also appeared on Red's ABC-TV
"Jubilee" series (and makes a lot of fat jokes about himself); and a
young Porter Wagoner, who sounds like he's doing a Hank Williams Sr.
impression.

Randy,
In 1956 it would cost you ten dollars for an hour of time on 1340, WTSB.
I would guess each side of your 33 1/3 16 inch Red Foley transcriptions
ran for 15 minutes.
A sponsor must have paid $2.50 per broadcast.
