Re: [IRCA] Friday Morning in Boone

Hi Steve,
Thanks for checking on us. I emailed Patrick early last night and haven't
heard from him yet. The wind is always more fierce on the coast, but the
way it was blowing last night, I'd wonder if the coast is even still there.
I'm sure some shingles are gone here, a minor thing. We have a big "pine"
tree next to the house and there are no gaping holes in the house, so I
suppose it's still there. Power was out for extended periods of time while
one of my son's who was out of the road noted some some road closures
because of downed trees (and probably some associated power lines). It's
still dark here so it's hard to access anything. Going to turn on the TV
and see what they have to say.

Winds on the coast reached 114. There are still power outages, 109,000 in
the region. Lot's of house's damaged by falling trees according to 750
KXL-Portland. Many schools closed. Salem school district has 10 schools
closed 30 miles north of me- ha, I'd guess that's all of 'em.
Thanks again Steve, 73- Doug
