I am amazed any scholarly discussion of nefarious spy clowns in 
America could proceed and there to have been no mention of Clarabell!

Wearing a red tinged collar symbolizing the yoke of oppression, tight 
lipped as the best agent should be, and sending what could only have 
been secret coded messages with the twin bicycle horns tooted 
incessantly, what else could this be but the consummate commy agent?

This TV "clown" even flaunted mind control, depicting the "workers" 
around him as mere "puppets", while enticing children into a 
demeaningly named "peanut gallery" of followers with prizes and the 
sinister cajoling of "howdy doody", as if a friend.

Come on now, let's get serious here!
