[IRCA] Wire Question

I have a roll of black and orange wire twisted together. The label says
it's 1/2" and I don't know if that breaks down to 14-guage or not, but
that's wht it appears to be. However, what I want to know is this...

Should I go to the trouble of unwrapping it or should I leave the two
twisted together and use that for an antenna I plan to string along my
fence? It's the one that will be about 300' or so if anyone remembers a
previous post or two about it. I took apart about five feet or so earlier
this afternoon and it took a good while to do it. I can see spending a good
part of the day unwrapping the roll or a good part of the day actually
stringing the wire along the fence and perhaps using it that night. I just
wonder if the two wires will make any difference being close together. I
have a couple of days of good weather ahead here and I don't go back to
Teaching 'til Monday. Any help would be appreciated.
