Re: [IRCA] Boston Acoustics Receptor HD

iBLOC is a serial revelation of shortcomings. BC boards, skindustry
poopsheets & obese wheezing old cynics all note lacka sensitivity & 'Back to Future'
70s DormPole antler.

But your post reveals yet another glistening facet of that unique 'gem' known
as 'our inevitable digital future'.

One expects to hear "Lookit the Birdies" from spoiled whining tots upon
noticing myriad flies swarming about the undersigned wretch. Their parents have
neither sense nor breeding to leave them home when invited to formal soirees at
our swampfront manse. They arrive late as ever in goiterous lumbering
overstuffed shopping carts. In they lurch, ankle biters in tow, and immediately exploit
them for show and tell purposes like some kinda life achievement - or
triumpha experiment in selective inbreeding.

As you would expect, the radio room is off limits, bolted shut from within.
No sense giving any ideas to legions of budding Ottis Elwood Tooles.

But Birdies aren't generally mentioned in polite company and certainly not
with respect to sophisticated receivers costing plenty, nosireeebop!

Autumn, '85, Hon. Judge Stephen and undersigned miserable choleric looked
into selling Bose Wave Radios. Nice sets even then. Sole defect? A few AM hets
when close to local flamethrowers. Amar's Final Solution? "Whistle Cut" switch
which lopped B/W and/or sensitivity but even with this feature disabled,
sounded fine on AM.

Birdies? What will those AG's* think of next? Science shonuff done be's
wundahful.
